The University Of Milan Grants for Ukrainian Students 2022

The University of Milan offers twenty grants worth €6,000.00 each in response to the current humanitarian emergency in Ukraine. Any additional funds may be used to increase the grants. The following are eligible to apply:

  • Ukrainian citizens enrolled at the University of Milan in the 2021/2022 academic year;
  • Ukrainian citizens belonging to Ukraine-resident households, who hold suitable school or academic qualifications to continue or begin studies at the University of Milan in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Applications must be submitted online, the application window is from 28 March to 29 April 2022.

The grants cannot be cumulated with any similar financial aid disbursed by the University or other
public or private entities.

Art. 2 – Applications

Art. 3 – Selection Board and Assessment Criteria
The board in charge of vetting applications will be appointed by Rector’s decree.
Assessment criteria are as follows:

  • Consistency of the candidate’s profile with the training programmes offered by the University
    of Milan and their respective admission requirements;
  • How serious the candidate’s personal and family situation is.

Art. 4 – Awarding of Grants to Existing Students
Ukrainian students enrolled at this University for the 2021/22 academic year will be notified of the
application assessment outcome by email (to their University account) by 31 May 2022.
Winning candidates will be required to accept the grant by replying to the University’s notice within
10 days of receipt.
The grant will be disbursed in four instalments of €1,500.00 each.

Art. 5 – Awarding of Grants to Prospective Students
Ukrainian citizens who are interested in enrolling at this University may receive information on the
awarding of grants following ministerial provisions governing the entry, residence and enrolment of Ukrainian students.

Any updates on pending ministerial provisions will be posted to
https://www.unimi.it/it/studiare/borse-premi-mense-e-alloggi, and notified by email to the
address stated in the application.
