Cardinal Onaiyekan Peace Fellowship Program 2020

Cardinal Onaiyekan Peace Fellowship Program

Cardinal Onaiyekan Fellowship Program (COFP) is a one-year Fellowship Program that prepares, engages and equips religious and community leaders with skills in interfaith dialogue, conflict transformation, leadership and mediation. The program is sub-divided into three modules/sessions and this gives Fellows the opportunity of meeting quarterly for one week in-class training during the one-year program. Before graduation, Fellows will receive seed grant for implementing peace project initiated by each of them in their community. University Certificate will be issued at the third and last module of the Fellowship Program on “Interreligious Dialogue and Mediation” and this will automatically launch Fellows into COFP Alumni Network of Peacebuilders (CANEP).

The overall goal of this Fellowship Program is to build the capacity of faith and local actors to counter extremism, enhance freedom of religion & belief, bridge community divides & build passion for peace and nonviolence at grassroots community.
