Junior Achievement Nigeria is a member of JA Worldwide with presence in over 123 countries of the Globe. Junior Achievement is the world’s oldest, largest and fastest-growing non-profit economic education organization dedicated to empowering and preparing young people for a successful future. Through Junior Achievement programs, young people learn how to become active participants in a market economy. As a global organization JA delivers unique, experiential programs—focusing on the core content areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness—which ignite the spark in young people to experience the world of business and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life in the 21st century.

JA began operations in Nigeria in 1999 and since then has reached over 850,000 students across 2,000 schools with over 2,000 professional and individual volunteers. As part of their goal to reach one million students by 2020, they are expanding the network of volunteers across every location we in Nigeria. Volunteering with JAN does not only grant the unique platform to impact the lives of young people, it also gives our volunteers access to JA’s unique and unequaled Entrepreneurial curriculum. Volunteers and partners also have potential access to JAN’s global network, among others. Also, their network of Board Members -are willing to provide developmental trainings, internship opportunities, etc for your committed members in reward for this partnership.

For several years, JA have implemented our programs on Financial Literacy, Business Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Work Readiness in Secondary Schools all over Nigeria, raising a set of students who design products, businesses and start ups that are technology driven and profitable. They will be competing in the regional programme come May, 2019.

Junior Achievement is currently seeking 1000 volunteers all over Nigeria; young people between the ages of 18-35, also professionals who are no more than 60 years of age, who are well knowledgeable and experienced in any of the areas of technology, entrepreneurship, leadership, and finance who will be willing to train secondary school students on Business Management, Entrepreneurship, Work readiness and Finance.


  • A Professional, youth or Middle-age working class or
  • Graduate or student of a Tertiary Institution
  • Be resident in any of these locations: Oyo, Lagos, Ogun, Osun, Kano, Borno, Plateau states, Abuja, South-South/South-East
  • Have a proven track record in any of technology, finance, leadership, and business.
  • Be willing to devote 1 hour per week to teach these kids our Entrepreneurship modules
