Through its yearly N-Peace Awards, the initiative aims to recognise the powerful stories of peace-builders and activists in the region who embody the WPS agenda. Former N-Peace awardees have gone on to report increased access to the decision-making arena and other partnerships.
The small grants component is rolled out starting from 2018 to support civil society action on the ground in implementing
- participation – ensuring women’s equal participation in the decision making process;
- protection – protecting and promoting the rights of women in conflict affected situations; and,
- prevention – preventing conflict and all forms of violence against women in conflict and post conflict situations.
The 3 categories of the 2018 N-Peace Small Grant include :
Category 1: Local/community level initiatives on women peace and security
This category will help to strengthen local/community efforts to implement the women peace and security agenda.
Category 2: Cross border/regional level initiatives on women, peace, and security
This category will help to strengthen cross boarder/ regional efforts to implement the women peace and security agenda.
Category 3: Youth led initiatives on women peace and security
This category will help to strengthen youth led community initiatives that implement the women peace and security agenda.

Please read the CSO Guidelines for 2018 Awards carefully before submitting an application.
Applications will be accepted between March 8th ~ March 30th 2018.
